Vanessa Lockhart is a vocalist and songwriter. She founded Evanescence Cover Brazil and Black Lotus, a symphonic power metal band.

She was born in São Paulo and began her musical career in Aracaju, acting on cover / tribute bands. Her main influences are rock, metal, oriental and classical music. Some of her idols in childhood were summarized at: Michael Jackson, Mozart, Montserrat Caballé, Andre Matos, Bruce Dickinson, Björk, Jon Bon Jovi and Sebastian Bach (Skid Row).

From drives to classical imposto. From the almost male basses to the delicacy of the high notes. The whole experience in bands and individual studies was essential for Lockhart's versatility and self-taught improvement. As she says:

I sing by instinct. I try to put in my voice what music makes me feel at my soul.

In 2014, along with Daniel Miura, Lockhart was invited to record a track for the tribute CD in honor of 30 years of the legendary German band Helloween, which included the participation of some heavy metal national promises and names already internationally recognized such as metal-opera Soulspell, Blaze Bayley, Tim "Ripper" Owens (Judas Priest) and Michael Vescera (Malmsteen).

Currently Vanessa follows as frontwoman in Black Lotus and Evanescence Cover Brazil.
